We are looking for completed feature scripts about sharply-defined characters with sharply-defined goals, stories that depict faith winning over fear; good winning over evil, love winning over hate, stories that, via theme or character, say something positive about faith and/or God, for example, "Sister Act," "Bruce Almighty," "Field of Dreams," or "Diary of a Mad Black Woman."

Whenever possible, we'd like our projects to appeal to both the general audience and the faith-based audience who went in droves to see The Passion, but the general audience is our primary target.

In terms of rating, we are considering everything from G-rated family-friendly scripts to R-rated hard-edged projects. The goal is to "tell the truth" about the subject matter and let the rating be what it needs to be. Spirituality, love, hope and faith can be the driving forces of the script, but they don't have to be. Uplifting and inspirational is always a plus.

As much merit as they may have, we are NOT interested in:

  • Heroes-of-the-Bible stories

  • Religious Period Pieces

  • End-of-the-world or apocalyptic stories

  • Stories that combine Biblical stories/characters with fiction/speculation, e.g.

    • the Apostle John was really an alien from a far-off galaxy who came to earth...

    • Jesus-came-back-in-the-form-of-this-miracle-working-guy-from-_____ stories

We are also interested in seeing books and manuscripts that meet the above criteria.

    WGA and Non-WGA writers welcomed.
